Class of 1960 Reunion

Greetings Mount Hope High School Graduate Mustangs of 1960

Motto:  Honor Always

Class Colors:  Light Blue and White

It’s been a long time since some of us have seen each other.  Would you like to sit down and share some of our life’s stories?  Share a few laughs over “Pink and Patches” or that muddy football field where we won many games, or how about singing “Rock Around The Clock” while some of our band members play their “used/aged” instruments.

The MHHS 1960 reunion committee has reserved the Lions Club House in Mount Hope for the MHHS 1960 class reunion for Saturday evening May 28th.  We are planning a dinner/dance/social gathering for that event with a catered meal.  We have a DJ who has “our 1960” music, plus a wide range of other music.  Naturally RSVP is required.  More details will follow.

Coincidentally on the same day but earlier the MHHS Alumni Association has requested we support the final graduation exercises for the Class of 2011.  Graduation will begin at 1:00 p.m. (May 28, 2011) at the football stadium.  This will be the last and final graduating class from MHHS and we really do need to give these kids a great send off (not a funeral procession).  So you are invited to join us with the celebration for the last MHHS graduating class and a 1960 class reunion.  Incidentally the Alumni Association has made a significant monetary contribution to us so that we may support the graduation ceremony and have a class reunion.

The Alumni Association is also planning a picnic at the football field or indoors if needed on Sunday afternoon (1:00 to 7:00 p.m.).  This is the MHHS 100 Year Bash (refer to Classmates.com or you can access information from this site from the home page).  Right now the planning committee is thinking of food, fun and fellowship for anyone who wants to come.  We will have a class of 1960 tent if you want to bring your lawn chair and continue the sharing.

You reaction and response to this proposal is vital to the outcome.  Please drop a short note expressing any thoughts and interest or concerns that may affect our planning within 7 to 10 days.  We have the resources and where-with-all to accommodate this class.  The present issue is head count.
